At college I studied all aspects of beauty therapy and went on to work in a variety of salons, hotels and spa’s.
In 2006 I decided to become a freelance therapist and as time went by I realised my real passion was makeup. I definitely had a natural flair and creativity for makeup and, as I explored that avenue, my passion grew and I went on to work with professional photographers to create special FX for council campaigns, photoshoots for magazines, worked with celebrities creating makeup for photoshoots, award ceremonies and special events.
In an ever evolving industry I kept up to date with current trends and techniques by attending workshops all over the country, one of which was run by Mario Dedivanovic, makeup artist to a whole host of celebrities including the Kardashian family.
I’ve learned from experience how expert makeup can empower women and instil confidence, making women feel good about themselves, so it really was a natural progression moving into working exclusively with bridal makeup, helping to empower women on their most important day.
My aim when working with a bride is to help make her dreams come true and I truly believe that quality makeup can play a major role in helping to achieve that. I love being part of the process that sees a bride blossom. It can be a shared emotional ride, one that gives me great pleasure and drives me on to deliver a quality service.
Each of the areas I worked in along the way have helped me gain the experience and knowledge I now have, to deliver outstanding bridal work by thoroughly understanding the balance between creating a beautiful look to be viewed in person yet enhance the client’s natural features for on camera.
